Hullo
All right, so Hannah and I attended the game on Friday. These jams just get better and better! We started our evening at the HDC by making our way to Lot 6 to chill will the Union Ultras before being escorted together into the stadium (gasp!)
I love tailgating with the Union. Just a crazy bunch of Mexicans (and some asians???) downing shots of sweetly strong Patrone just to get them in the mood we all know and love. My dad was in this one too =) He's a big guy. He can handle it.
Not to mention free tacos!
Back to the game. They lost. Galaxy - 1, Chivas - a disappointing zilch. Too bad, because it put some of the players in the dumps. It was clearly shown in Sacha Kljestan as he Totally Ignored us! when we were screaming for autographs! I'll talk about that later.
About the game again...in about twenty minutes into the game I began to realize Chivas wasn't doing their best out there. They looked lazy. No wonder Galaxy made a goool. That was shocking; I only heard frantic screams from the crowd. It wasn't until the later half of the game that it finally registered to me that Galaxy had scored --- Whaaat??? And since when had actually occurred?
I honestly tried to focus on the game this time, but as usual, I was distracted by the Mexicans behind me :\
Now, back to the autographs...I gotta give my admirably deepest thanks to Carlos for setting us up with The Underground tickets. That was some nasty negotiating with the lady, man! Jerad (or Gered) Alexander, you should be proud of your pottymouthed father. Thank you again, man, for choosing us to go down there and even remembering us! It's an honour. Muchos Gracias.
We had to leave five minutes before the game ended to go down to The Underground, desperately urging to see the players finish the game. But it was all good because we got to see TONS of players. Which means that I got my jersey loaded up with signatures! Got Carey Talley over spring break, and now, like ten more over the summer.
Sacha, like I said before, was a major dickhead that time. He looked so disgusted. We eventually got his autograph, and tried to humour him, too. Hannah commented, "I like your haircut, Sacha." And what did he do? He Grunted! I don't think he said an actual word...Just saying.
Something totally embarrassing: okay there were tons of people sharing my Famous Person Sharpie so I couldn't keep track of it. So...after Sacha signed Hannah's jersey, I thought that Sacha had accidentally walked off with my Sharpie, so I called after him, "Hey, Sacha, you forgot my pen!" He turned around, staring at me blankly, didn't know what to do, then suddenly Hannah tells me, "Ariel, it's right here!" grabbing the Sharpie from the last random person next to her. It was pretty embaressing and everyone was laughing and I was like "AW SHNAP!" "Yeah, I'm stupid," I told everyone. Ha ha.
And NOW, ladies and gents, we come to the FATEFUL ELEVATOR RIDE!!! This is how it goes:
We were getting to go back to the stadium to leave because the lady was yaking at us that we'd better get going. I was excited because I got lots of handshakes, because I couldn't get hugs on account the players were on the other side of the gate. Shivering with delight, I walked to the elevators, waiting for our turn.
While we were waiting, Eduardo Lillingston, #99 makes his way through the small crowd to wait for the elevator too, his girlfriend getting totally All Over Him. She was hanging onto him, smooching, while he, not really paying attention, holding on to her, just trying to make sure she doesn't fall over. I was pushing against the wall because Lill and his girl were passing by and they stopped directly right in front off me, beginning to make out like crazy. She was really gorgeous, and just saying...Lillingston's button-down shirt was popped open at the chest. =D They both were tall-ish, fer the record.
Okay, THEN, here's the best part, the ELEVATOR FLIPS OPEN, and here I am, hesitant, because there's tons of people crowding into it and I don't know if we'll all make it in. But my dad says just go in, and we do. The guard operating the elevator barks at one employee lady; she has to go to the industrial elevator, or whatever. I get nervous, but whatever. I move into the back. People start pushing me into this one guy, who JUST HAPPENED TO BE OMAR GONZALES, #4!!! I turned, my eyes leading up to his face above me. I said, "I'm sorry!" And guess what he said? He says, "It's okay!" In this sensitive, sweet voice that actually MEANT it!!! I was in love!
Still dazed, I look around the elevator for some thrills, when I see face-to-face OMG - KOBI JONES!!! I wanted to say something, maybe give him a friendship bracelet...if I had one...but he was probably trying his best to ignore us, so I left him alone. I heard a outburst of laughing at the left corner - it was Lillingston's crazy chick, still smooching and clinging onto him helplessly. Oh Em Jee. Eduardo was also in the house. No waaayyy!!! I was fainting.
Okay, last words, people, promise. The door swung open and everyone bustled out. I was dying because I wanted to ask Omar Gonzales for a hug since I couldn't approach stingy Kobi or Eduardo with the clingly, giggly girlfriend. And somehow, I don't even know how, I asked him for a hug and I got one. YES!!! And it wasn't just those awkward, quick, get-away-from-me kind of hugs. It was supprisingly affectionate and on the longish side as we were about to back off.
SO SORRY FOR ALL THE CRAP I WAS JUST DYING TO REPORT!!!
LAYTAH AND PEACE!!! - Ariel, in and out.
